WATERFALL Photography

Friends ask me how to take photos of waterfall. What he want is trying to make the waterfalls look silky (sample above). In order to get this kinda of photos, you need a camera which allow you to control the shutter speed and a tripod. The example has 2 sec. of exposure and the tripod are able to avoid handshake.
Depends on how fast is the water run. If water run fast, exposure with 1 sec may able to get the job done. If water run slow, 4 sec or 8 sec may require. Usually I will try to capture with different setting and find out which one will come out the best result at that moment.
