A friend told me his photos are kinda boring. He has a lot of the camera skill + composition skill already, however he's still not quite satisfied with his work.
I was not able to provide a solution since I am not a Pro. And his skill level is way better than mine. And I do find his work to be great, but somehow not really able to tell the story.
I suggested a book to him. The Moment It Clicks by Joe McNally. This book has nothing related to exposure, camera setting or photoshop which is different from other photography books. I found it really gave me a lot of photo ideas, which is beyond technical skill.
I highly recommend this book to beginners as well. As I always say, interesting photos does not depend on the camera you have, it depends on the person who clicks the shutter button.
You can get this book from here.
